Coffey Geosciences Pty Ltd (Coffey) is a geotechnical/environmental specialist consultancy with offices throughout Australia and in a number of countries throughout Asia. The company is part of the Coffey Limited group, a public company listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. Associated companies in the group provide hydrological, hydrogeological and International project management and water supply services. The types of dams covered by Coffey’s services range from hydro-electric and water storage dams, through tailings dams, sewerage ponds, process waste dams, irrigation and farm dams and fluid storage structures at mine sites to industrial and municipal/ domestic fluid waste. The services provided include siting and design studies, geotechnical investigations and hydrological studies, hydrogeological studies detailed engineering design and documentation, construction management and / or supervision, monitoring and surveillance. Coffey’s particular expertise lies in foundation and remedial grouting, dam repair and stabilisation, seismic risk analysis, staged embankment raising, general risk analysis, dam break analyses, environmental assessment and the full range of safety reviews including O&M manuals and Dam Safety Emergency Plans (DSEP).

Coliban Water provides water and wastewater services to customers throughout north-central Victoria.

DPWS offers services in all aspects of dam engineering except for direct construction. DPWS specialises in innovation and design for new dams as well as remedial works for existing dams and have laboratories to carry out soil/rock testing and hydraulic model testing. Risk assessments and a full range of safety reviews for dams including hydrological, geotechnical, structural and dambreak studies; and preparation of O&M manuals and dam safety emergency plans can be undertaken.

LongMac offers geotechnical engineering, engineering geology and materials testing services. The firm consistently carries out all forms of geotechnical investigation works for government, industry and private sector clients. The firm comprises some 40 professional engineers, geologists and laboratory/field technicians with expertise in dam and tailings dam investigation, soft ground engineering, design and construction supervision. LongMac consists of a Sydney based office with a supporting NATA registered materials testing laboratory for soil, rock and pavement analyses.

The Board is a statutory authority under the Gladstone Area Water Board Act 1984 and provides bulk water to major users in the Gladstone region. The Board regulary assesses future water demands and assesses how to meet those demands and provides the system design to meet these requirements.
