ANCOLD Professional Development Working Group

In mid 2009 ANCOLD, via a small working group chaired by Prof. Robin Fell, undertook a review of what the future training and development needs of the dam industry might be. This culminated in a draft report that was presented to members at the AGM in 2009. A copy of the report can be obtained by clicking here.

During 2010 a survey was conducted of all ANCOLD event participants including those from New Zealand. The survey put forward the large range of possible courses suggested by the working group and requested feedback on priority of training needs. The response to the survey was very good and very positive as was presented at the 2010 AGM.

The results of the survey will be very useful in ANCOLD determining its forward training program.

ANCOLD is now in a position to develop a professional development program and commence its roll-out.

To assist with this process the ANCOLD Executive are now inviting expressions of interest from persons willing to participate in a Professional Development Working Group.

The anticipated role of the Group will be to put together a forward program and assist in the delivery of the program.

Members of the original small working group would be most welcome to forward an expression of interest for the next phase of this initiative.

Please submit any expressions of interest or enquiries to the secretariat ancold@leishman-associates.com.au
